Plaid Friday -November 25, 2022

The name Plaid Friday was conceived from the idea of weaving the individual threads of local businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses.  It's a fun and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday” consumer frenzy. Also, it's a way to show your support for our local economy. So plan to wear PLAID the day after Thanksgiving, and help support local businesses!

Appletree will have author Brendi Larsen in the store from 2-3 PM.

Writer In The Window November 2022

In November 2022 as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoRiMo), we are offering local writers a chance to spend 2 hours working on their novel, poetry collection, play, or other literary works on Fridays and Saturdays.

Appletree hosted writers in our windows for a number of years before COVID-19; we would like to invite writers back this year to write in our window, affording them the opportunity to share their “craft”  and creative inspiration with passersbys in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood.

Please call the store or email us at info@appletree-books.com to learn more or to signup for a spot in our windows.
