Early June Update
The gas line replacement on the north side of Cedar has been completed, and has now been switched to the south side of Cedar. Work has started at the Euclid Heights intersection and will move east over the next few weeks. The Cedar Road repaving project has moved closer as the area between Norfolk and Cottage Grove is now being repaved.
The City has not given a precise date for the start of the streetscaping and repaving in our neighborhood; we anticipate it will start once the gas line replacement project is complete.
There are frequent lane changes in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, so please exercise care when driving. Access to our front door is currently available and if you cannot come in the front door, you can still use our back door.
Estimated completion of these phases is mid-November, 2017.
The city of Cleveland Heights has more information about the project and provides periodic updates on the status here: Streetscape Update
During the construction, parking in front of the store may not be possible at certain times. Parking is available in the parking garage behind our building, and there is a city lot behind the Firestone Station on Grandview. Free parking is available every weekend in the neighborhood in city lots, garages, and metered spaces.
Effective on May 1, 2017, Appletree will be offering free delivery twice a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) for our customers who order $20 or more and live in “The Heights Area” – Cleveland Heights, University Heights, and Shaker Heights – and who request delivery service.
