Mid July Update
The Cedar Fairmount Streetscape project is about to enter its final stage.
On July 14, traffic on Cedar in front of the store will be reduced to one lane in each direction as work on the south of the road begins. The south side of Cedar will be closed as the repaving and streetscape project are undertaken. Once this work is done, the repaving and streetscape will switch to the north side of Cedar. The City expects this project to last approximately 12 weeks.
Estimated completion of this phase is mid-November, 2017.
The city of Cleveland Heights has more information about the project and provides periodic updates on the status here: Streetscape Update
There is no parking in front of the store on Cedar for the duration of the project. Parking is available in the parking garage behind the building; there is also a city lot behind the Firestone Station on Grandview. Free parking is available every weekend in city lots, garages, and metered spaces in the neighborhood.
During this phase, there may be times when access to our front door is not available. Our backdoor, located off the ally behind the store, continues to be open during regular business hours.
With the reduced traffic flow on Cedar, we urge our customers who want to visit the store to use North Park or Euclid Heights Boulevard to enter the neighborhood. There may be temporary traffic restrictions, so please use caution when driving in the neighborhood during this project.
If you do not want to come to the store during this period, we are offering free delivery to customers in “The Heights Area” – Cleveland Heights, University Heights, and Shaker Heights for any order over $20 that requests delivery service. Deliveries will be made on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Orders can be placed via phone, email or on the order section of our website.
